Hello! We're Megan and Randy Scott and are both specialized, cottage country, real estate agents. Our focus is on buying and selling waterfront properties on Rice Lake Ontario, Kawartha Lakes and surrounding areas. We are proud to be part of this community and to say that we have been sharing the lake with other cottagers for over 50+ years. Both of us started with backgrounds in accounting and after having our triplets Megan reinvented her career in real estate and Randy stayed in his career of Accounting. Megan is a full time award winning real estate agent who has been working in the industry for more than a decade. Randy has held various accounting roles in the automotive sector, with his most recent position as a CFO for a highly respected company. He is also a licensed real estate agent with a natural talent for accurately evaluating commercial properties and investments. BUYING AND SELLING IS DIFFERENT IN COTTAGE COUNTRY THAN IN THE CITY

Therefore, it's imperative you choose a specialized real agent that understands the complexities of recreational transactions to take care of your needs. Thankfully, we have the experience of both cottage and city living. Choosing an agent that is experienced in both, is an asset. A large portion of cottage buyers are usually from the city and we feel we have a good understanding of the city folk’s wants and needs. On the same hand, we are cottagers, a down to earth couple who grew up in cottage country.

  • Is your property surrounded by Crown or private land?
  • Do you want to be closer to marinas?
  • Do prefer waterfront that is sand or rock? Shallow or deep?
  • Is your property connected to the municipal sewage or septic?
  • Is your water supply on a well or city water?
  • How close are you to highways and amenities?
  • Does your area have internet, satellite or cable service?

 

But these are things you don't need to stress about because we'll ensure you get exactly what you need. When we chat, we work hard to understand your needs, preferences, lifestyle, budget, goals and must-haves. Together, we come up with a plan and how to tackle it.
